Marks on Our Skin

One spring evening, a couple years ago, I attended a local event in my town. A young woman, around my age sat next to me at the table I was seated at.

At first, I thought it was because of limited seating. I glance over at her, nodded and smiled. She did the same.

I still could feel her staring at me. I then heard her say, “Your beauty marks. You must have lived many lives.”

I looked at her in shock. Yet, I was also flattered in a way. Spirituality and the afterlife has always been an intrigue and interest.

She then said to me, “Each one has meaning.”

I think about that day a lot. I wish our conversation could have extended. I didn't even get her name.

I wonder if my soul has been here many times around.

Some days I try to ask the universe if I was sent here to master spiritual healing.

I believe that my current journey here is to help my family heal and appreciate what this life has given us.

Each time around is a new lesson.

I heard someone say that souls do become fulfilled.

If souls become truly fulfilled, do they stop reincarnating?

When is my last journey?

Where is the final destination?

What story does your body tell?

I hear that your birthmark represents how you died in your past life.
